+91O2

+91O2 was coined by putting together the area code for India and the chemical symbol for oxygen. A fundraiser to help raise both awareness and funds for India’s health care infrastructure to remedy the lack of oxygen supply during the fourth wave of the pandemic. Our target was to raise HKD50,000 and we surpassed this by reaching a roaring HKD 58,425.20 in less than 24 hours. This sum was then donated to the bigger pool of donations at GiveIndia.

The event was divided into two parts over the span of a day. One half, henna and tie-die workshops that made it accessible for friends with children, and the other half, an evening block party. The tickets to the day were considered donations along with any money spent on drinks, workshops, food, and merchandise designed and curated especially for the day.

Co-hosted with Aanya, it took a whole community to curate, design, and tie this day together.

The aim was to bring people together and make fundraising accessible.

We wanted people to appreciate what we shared about India without it feeling like an obligation. The aim was to make the tangible interactions from the day fun, unique and memorable.
